The 30% Threshold
Many veterans don’t realize that the base VA pay charts are for a “Single Veteran.” As soon as you reach a combined rating of 30% or higher, you are eligible for additional compensation for:
- Spouse.
- Children under 18.
- Children 18-23 in school.
- Dependent parents.
The Money Adds Up
For a veteran with a 100% rating, a spouse and two kids adds over $400 a month to the paycheck. That is tax-free money meant to support your family.
The “Retro” Mistake
Did you get married or have a child after your rating? You need to file to add them immediately. The VA will not automatically know. We help clients audit their files to ensure every eligible dependent is listed.
Don’t let the paperwork scare you. Securing this benefit is usually fast—and we make it easier.
